Hanabie.’s North American Tour touched down in Phoenix, AZ, with Enterprise Earth and Nekrogoblikon assisting with the beatdown, providing a much needed high-energy, face-melting energetic show. Enterprise Earth set expectations as to what was needed for this show, and they didn’t pull any punches. They came out swinging, hitting fans with deep gutturals, guitar solos and massive breakdowns that lead fans to form mosh pits which eventually grew to a sizeable circle pit. Never breaking for more than a few minutes throughout their set, they started the fire that grew throughout the evening.

Nekrogoblikon starts their set with the Pokémon theme song leading them in, as a large blow-up goblin head stares down the audience. For a few minutes the venue is filled with fans singing along as the song slowly fades and the members of the band take the stage; the singing turns to cheers. As they begin their first song of the evening, John Goblikon walks out and the venue fills with a cheer of excitement then the chaos starts. Piercing the crowd with high-pitch squeals, deep screams and a comedic improv goblin walking around on stage hyping the crowd provided for a different but complimentary performance for the evening.

Hanabie.’s performance is unlike any that you will ever see, with their “Harajuku-core”, a blend of metalcore sounds with Harajuku style imagery and fashion is the much-needed shot of dopamine that every metalcore fan should experience. Hanabie. pours every ounce of sweat, passion and love into their performance as well as to everyone in attendance at all their shows. And the show at The Van Buren was no exception, with the fans reciprocating tenfold. The all-female metalcore group consists of four members, (Vocalist) Yukina, (Guitar & Vocals) Matsuri, (Bassist) Hettsu and (Drums) Chika.

The minute they took the stage to when they finished their set, not a drop of energy was seen, continuously pushing forward with control and uncuffed. The fans throughout their set could be seen creating mosh pits, cheering in unison, showing their appreciation with horns in the air as well as crowd surfing. Hanabie. undoubtedly brought one of the heaviest yet most electric shows to The Van Buren, performing songs such as “NEET GAME”, “TOUSOU” , “ICONIC”, “Spicy Queen”, “Tokimeki About you”, “Osaki ni Shitsurei Shimasu” and “Today’s Good Day & So Epic.”
