Culinary crafted dishes and hand-crafted cocktails set in a dimly lit venue transporting fans to a time and place of class and elegance, Robin Thicke brought the Vegas-vibe to the Wild Horse Pass Resort & Casino in Chandler, AZ with his 88 Keys Supper Club dining/live entertainment concept.  As fans are escorted from the doors to their tables they are greeted with the sight of show girls walking about, dressed in shiny studded outfits, some posed on slow-turning turntables, adding to the Supper Club vibe.

As fans dine, the show begins with Sonna Rele, a British born singer, songwriter from North-West London, taking the stage to set the mood for the evening as the fans settle and loosen up.  Sonna performs with such elegance and soul, a warm and seductive voice that pulls you into her world for slow dancing and emotional feeling.  Sonna performed several feel-good, easy listening covers that catered to the ambiance of the event. Covers such as “Do For Love” by Bobby Caldwell, “At Last” by Etta James, “Fever” by Peggy Lee, “Fly Me To The Moon” by Frank Sanatra, “Summertime” by Ella Fitzgerald and “Happy” by Pharrell Williams.

As Sonna closed her set, the anticipation for the main event could be felt as members of Robin Thicke’s band began to take their positions on stage.  The band begins playing an intro, a layered saxophone, trumpet, guitar, bass, keyboard and drum, upbeat jazz jam that builds up to the moment Robin walks out on the stage.  As Robin begins his first of many songs, the show girls in the audience in a timely and synced manner begin walking up through the crowd toward the stage.  Lights shine, the music finds its way through the audience, the background dancers synchronize and, in an instant, everyone is teleported to a Vegas showroom.

Robin, never missed a beat, nailing the emotion of the venue/audience and flawlessly, as the showman he is, navigated the fans through the years of his music.  The stage is his canvas, the instrument his paint brushes, his vocals and lyrics are the color that painted the evening.  With so much thought and planning put into the production of the event, from the music, the showmanship, the Vegas themed vibe, the background dancers and the interaction/reaction from the crowd, Robin Thicke’s 88 Keys Supper Club experience is a must have experience for everybody; we can only hope Robin sees this event returning for more to take the adventure.

Robin performed several songs from his catalog of music as well as some covers; songs such as “Lost Without You”, “Magic”, “Sex Therapy”, “Blurred Lines” and “The Sweetest Love”, covers such as “Blackbird” by The Beatles and “Just the Two of Us” by Grover Washington, Jr. to name a few.
